Choose Queen Mattresses Like the Baby Bear’s
Remember the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears? At the end of the story, Goldilocks falls asleep after eating a bowl of porridge of the bears. When she just entered the Bears’ bedroom, she still had time to choose the perfect bed for her to sleep, which of course was
the most comfortable. It was never mentioned about the size, but about
the quality and softness of the bed itself. Papa Bear’s bed was too hard, whilst Mama Bear’s was too soft. But Baby Bear’s was just right, and so Goldilocks chose that.
When choosing
the perfect bed mattress for ourselves, we usually consider the size first. We check which ones are suitable for our own height and width, and we fit it to the size of our bedrooms. The next thing we choose is
the materials that made up the mattress. In early centuries, mattresses used to be made up out of hay, straw, wool, cotton, or for those who could afford, feather. In the 1950s
foam rubber mattresses were introduced, and in the 1960s, there came waterbeds. Now in the 21st century, there are hundreds of
thousands of choices of mattresses that we could choose.
The most common choice are on the
queen mattresses, where the 60”x80” size accommodates couples or even individuals who wish for an extra space for them to sleep.
If a person enters a store to
look for a mattress these days, they’d probably be greeted by a large variety of spring
Queen Mattresses. In the US itself, this type of mattress covers up to 80% of the market. Spring
queen mattresses comfort the body by pressuring on places that need most support such as the spine, and relaxes on parts that least need support such as the hip, knee, and shoulder. There are also numbers and types of coils for you to choose. For a
Queen Mattress, you may want to choose gauge coils with a high number, usually 375 at least. There are also
other varieties of materials for such queen mattresses;
the most common are memory foams and latex.
Memory foam queen mattresses are much softer than full innerspring
queen mattresses. On the other hand, latex queen mattresses are a bit harder and widely chosen by people with back problems.
Whatever type of
queen mattresses you choose, you have to bear in mind that there is no single perfect mattress. Unless you have a
mattress that is custom made for you, you have to find out about the materials, number of springs, and distribution of coils which comfort you the most. So next time you go looking for
Queen Mattresses; be sure to find one that suits you just like Baby Bear’s.
